Best souvlaki I ate in Montreal, it wasn't dry at all, the pita was nice and thick, the chicken had a nice smokey taste Loved it!
Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Experience start to finish was excellent. Used to frequent the Greek place that was here before Minos and can honestly say this place is even better. Fantastic gyro, great fries and phenomenal tzatziki. The owner, management and staff were all incredibly kind and ensured we didn’t go without anything - they seem to love running this place and that passion truly comes out in the quality and tastiness of their food. Really recommend the pork gyro and the loukaniko. The greek beer on the menu is also a must try. Really recommend supporting this family business - prices are excellent for the portion and quality of the food. Will be back ASAP - thanks George for a lovely evening!
Great place, with awesome people and good food! The owner is friendly and welcoming, the staff are great. Fast service, smiling and friendly. Food is great! Good portions, affordable prices. I love the Gyro, fresh soft pita & the meat is very tasty. Located in a very nice neighborhood, I recommend walking there to enjoy Jarry street and avoid having to search for parking.
The food here is very tasty and they serve good portions. As a highlight, the pork gyro with tzatziki sauce is delicious. Also, I just had the Nico poutine and I'm impressed! I can honestly say it's quite perfect. Perfect size also. It's a must try! The staff is amazing also. They kept smiling and continued being awesome even after I stopped filming my little video Great experience overall.
I have walked through the labyrinth of the many gyro spots in Montreal in my quest to find an authentic Greek gyro. I have been sorely disappointed until today. Minos is an exceptional Greek food experience that is truly reminiscent of the souvlaki shops you find in Greece. Beautifully decorated, spotless with a modern minimalist flair, the dining experience is cosy, relaxed and transports you to the Greek islands. I ordered the Gyro platter, which was delicious and very filling . The meat was lean and tender and crispy on the outside just the way I like it. The greek salad was exceptional, it’s all about using quality tomatoes! I was surprised by how good the rice was, which in most Greek restaurants is an afterthought. These guys however use Basmati rice, which is fit for a Minoan King. My kids enjoyed their gyro pitas and chicken souvlaki sticks, the tzatziki was a hit. I have a gluten allergy and they have many items on the menu that are gluten-free. They have a nice selection of drinks and I particularly enjoyed the Yamas mango iced tea. Looking forward to trying their Imported Greek beer the next time I go. Minos can truly be crowned Montreal’s new King of Souvlaki. Long live king Minos!
Loved my experience at Minos. Staff was super friendly and I even met tiktoker Niko! The gyro was absolutely delicious, the meat was tender and well seasoned with a few crispy bits , the pita was soft and pillowy and fries were good . Bifteki was juicy and flavorful! 9.2/10
We've eaten here a couple dozen times - both eating in and takeaway. The food is always amazing! Great taste, wonderfully cooked. The chicken souvlaki are perfectly done! The gyro always has a wonderful texture.... just right! It's got a great vibe for a summer evening with the windows open and music playing... I did recently have one mixup with my takeaway order where I didn't receive what I ordered in the bag. I emailed to say so and got a call back within 15 mins apologizing and offering a resolution that was more than fair. Come for the amazing flavour, stay for the owner's old school commitment to doing things right!
Really good and authentic Greek food! Home made recipes with a warm & cozy atmosphere.
